Possible Reasons Your Check Engine Light Came On

The one thing that never seems to fail is your check engine light. There are a number of causes that can make the light come on. So before panicking you should consider the following possible reasons. The vehicle’s O2 sensor measures the amount of unburned oxygen in the exhaust system. If the sensor is faulty you can expect to see the light.

A loose gas gap can also be a cause for concern. It may cause your gas mileage to decrease. Engine overheating is another condition to consider. Pull over immediately if this is the case. The last thing you want is for your engine to blow up. It is better to err on the side of caution and call for a tow if necessary. Worn ignition wires, spark plugs, and faulty catalytic converters could also be a cause for the engine light. Contact our service center and we will fix the problem and get you back on the road as quickly as possible.
